Not sure what happened to your link there Super T.
Love the look of this board, I want one.
"DC himself with the BRAND NEW NSP DC 8'11 x 29 @ 119L and 9kg.
Built with Technet deck and Carbon Vector rails with Tri-Quad fin set up."
Have been searching for info on these boards for a month , it all real secret , makes you wonder why would think if they want buyers to buy their boards they would give them some info on them .
Personally ended up placing an order for a Jimmy Lewis stun gun so that's one sale they have missed out on
I'm liking the look of the 8'2" as is it finally a board that's not too wide at 29.5 yet has enough volume 110 L for the larger dimensioned individual........
They look great, would be interested to hear about pricing and availability.
Sadly, no changes to the 9'2 Coco cosmetics, with a bit more aesthetic appeal I reckon the 9'2 and the 9'8 would be popular.
Scott.
When I was looking at getting one of the NSP DC boards was told they would cost about the same as the Jimmy Lewis boards so around the 1800 .
Have heard there will be a demo board available in Hobart probably next month , I believe that is about the first one available to demo in australia
I hope you are right about the price Tassie, but if they are touting it as being 'produced as a custom hand produced board' I expect they will be significantly more.
Can't wait to hear if you do get to demo one.
I have heard that they could be arriving as early as next month (April) but this as always can blow out. Fingers Crossed as they look awesome!
Had a surf on the 8'11 at the 12 towers very smooth felt very comfortable under foot stable as and easy to throw around for a bigger board and it was only in a couple of foot on the beachy
so ticks all boxes and speaking to dale the price is very good aswell can't wait to demo the 8'2
despite being totally frustrated (p..sed off ) with the way GSI has dealt with the release of these boards have ended up ordering the 8 11, looks to be a board with enough stability to handle the wind and chop we get here plus should rip on the waves
hoping to have it here in the next couple of weeks , 1 st thing I will be doing will be ripping off the fins supplied by NSP and replacing them with a decent set of quads
my 8 11 arrived today , took it out this afternoon for its first surf ,
me - very average SUP surfer been on SUPs just over 12 months , surfing 9 2 PSH ripper pretty much exclusively since christmas , weigh 75 kgs
1 st impressions on arrival - looks great , surprisingly light , surfed with a large set of shapers surf fx quad fins
in the water very stable , rate it at least stable as the 9 2 coco mat , way more stable then the 9 2 PSH ,very easy on the paddle out and great to paddle on to the waves . On the waves great fun . Will take a few sessions to get myself dialled into it but really happy with it .
Unfortunately had to cut the session short in my rush to get out after work forget to grab a string to attach the legrope to the board - bodged an attachment with some gear in the car but after losing the board the second time and watching it wash past rocks decided best call it a day .
hanging out for tomorrow
Spent all weekend on the DC , really enjoying it , reckon my wave count has doubled .
IMO the big concave at the front of these boards makes the board perform the way it does - stable as for a 29 inch wide board , easy to paddle onto waves , carves really well .
Accidentally Tested out the toughness of the board by dropping it out of the back of the Kombi onto the concrete driveway- result tiny scuff mark on the rail from what I thought should have been a nice ding .
wondering is everyone else going to apply rail tape on these boards - with the reinforced rail is it needed
Few of the Perth crew tested out the 8/6 and the8/2 and all reports from the very stable and the 8/2 seamed to be more stable than the 8/6
There's one thing for sure Dales boards all surf super well .i am yet to give the ones in my shed a run soon I hope
Think some rail tape would not go astray ,thanks to the crew at standup surf shop for letting the crew demo the shop boards even before the staff got to use them
Stock arriving in Perth May 30th and stock is selling fast, give us a call if interested.
