Hi All,
I'm the owner of a Hypster Twin Longboard 9x29. This is a custom board that has less than 1 year.
I don't use it very often but I noticed that it came with a paint work that is very delicate. I've been observing how part of it simply detach from the body of the board without me being the cause . Sometime I use it and after I realize that some more new bits of the paint is gone and I can see the white below :-(
I was wondering if anyone else had this kind of experience with a custom SMIK or if is just me? It's a shame because I really like the colours and design I created for it but I feel like I cannot fully use it's potential because I'm scared of what could happen with it if I use it in big conditions (so far I only used it in small waves).
Thanks!
Have you contacted Scotty? (Smik)
Good idea Mick,I will be interested In the outcome as well

Will keep you posted.

yeah getting on to Scotty is the Best way to go.
I have a bunch of Smik's , Customs, some second hand , Scott has always been very helpful with any queries
Do you keep it in it's bag when wet???
Hello there,
I always washed the board with fresh water and let it dry before putting it back in the bag. So the answer to your question is "no".
I have owned over a dozen SMIKs and no issues of any sort. Best quality in my opinion
Have to agree, my custom is as good as new.
