I just wanted to give a shout out to Scottie from Smik and Scott from Surf FX for the excellent service they have given me in getting me a standard Smik twin pin 10x28 (not custom). If you want excellent service you are in safe hands with these two gentlemen. Now to the board, what a machine. It truely does everything the description says it does but until you ride one you don't realise how this translates into being such an easy board to ride well. The one thing they don't say is how easy it is to steer/control from the nose. You are not going for long hang ten's, it's a performance board but fives are so easy. I've ridden it in small weak beach breaks, low tide rip bowls, all the way through to double overhead point break waves. On a side note I was averaging 36km/h and top speed was 39.6/km, which is the fastest speed I have ever recorded on any board I have owned surfing the point break. It just made them all easy to surf and to what I feel is my best surfing I have done in a long time. I don't usually write reviews but because of the excellent service I received and lack of reviews for this model i'm putting my two cents out there. I am 55 years old, 177cm and weight 85kgs. I have been SUPing for 13 years and surfing too many years to remember before that. Longboard and shortboards and consider myself in the advanced category. I have boards from the 2023 Starboard Pro 8 foot to 14 foot downwind race board so you can have a guide on my experience on writing this review. I have no affiliation with any surf brands or shops. Thanks for reading and if you are in the market for this type of board I strongly recommend you consider the SMIK Twin Pin longboard.

71, way to go. It was a solid day. Those speeds are what I usually get to though the twin pin seems to be about 3-4 km/h faster than the style lord I surf as well. Seem to be getting 23 to 27 km/h on chest high beachies. I have also found my legs have been sore after riding the twin pin so would say I am pushing harder. Going to throw a large single in the style lord and as I love nose riding it and see how it goes as a log. Keep sming and surfing.
