A nice arty video on the Jimmy Lewis Super Tech.
The Super Tech is the ultimate short SUP for ripping waves as if you were on a small surfboard for pro level riders.
The squash tail turns smoothly and quickly in any size surf. You can even wax the deck with your favorite blend.
When you reach this level of proficiency, you know which board you want. Available at www.jimmylewisboards.com.au soon
"Written by..." you mean there is actually somebody who wrote a scenario for this???
I hope it is a parody...
I'm not buying 'no deckpad' as a selling point. Starboard tried to get away with that for years with their pro range before finally listening to the masses.
I emailed Jimmy when these came out, he said the guys in Europe asked if they could be done without a deck pad, jimmy wasn't 100% convinced, but went on their advice, down the track he said he would look at a pad if there was demand, I put my own on.
now back the the board itself, I've been surfing one for a couple of years, I upgraded from a "Stungun", they look very similar in shape apart from the the tail, the supertech is a better board allround as works in smaller waves that the stungun doesn't, but the stungun is better in some juice.

LOL.
It was a pretty crappy piece..confusing and messy and hard to watch.
I put a front grip on my 7'10 Super Tech as there's a few different grips available but I have used it with wax & other than being messy in your board cover I do like it because it feels like my shortboard
Hi robg. www.jimmylewisboards.com.au comes up as "parked domain"... que? (rough Australian translation would be WTF?)
BTW (off topic but may appeal to the business...) do you have or will you be bringing in the JL M14?
feel free to PM me if you want to take it "off line"

We were the distributors of Jimmy Lewis Australia until we started to have issues with his boards so decided we didnt want to bother with it anymore. Rob has obviously decided to bring the boards in but will not buy the legitimate jimmylewis.com.au website. As you mentioned in your message above he is losing business by people seeing this "parked domain" website.
Hey Wok.
What were the issues? Just Ive had my quad for years and no probs as have every one I know in Gero who has bought of Tim?
Pretty well bullet proof I thought.

HI Komsup,
The NEW domain is "parked" for now as we were waiting for the start of the NEW financial year & will be up & running hopefully this week.... We are kicking off with the first container next month (I think we have already been in contact regarding the M-14).. I have the NEW Sidewinders coming in with the NEW Rail & happy to take orders for the M-14 for the next container.
Hope this helps.
Regards Rob
Hi WOK,
I don't think this is the forum to air your grievances which have nothing to do with me & is probably more of a reflection of your business practices. If you would like I can get Jimmy to post his side of the story on here in response to your allegations. Jimmy has had NO issues with any of his boards & their construction ANYWHERE around the world & backs his product with a 1 year warranty. (His Canadian distributor is that confident in his product that he offers a 3 year warranty to his customers on the JL boards he sells)
I think you should state the FACTS & not make such a loose allegation! I've been using 6 of his boards nearly everyday for a year now & they don't even have a single dent on them.
You guys tried to sell me something that wasn't yours to sell & as far as me having a legitimate website (www.jimmylewisboards.com.au) is as legitimate as they come.
This is between you & Jimmy & this is not a place to air your dirty laundry.... Jimmy is the most honest & fairest person who knows his stuff I have ever dealt with in my 25 years in the surf industry!
I had a JL kwad and now have a super tech. Quite happy.
Regarding robustness, the only construction that is as good is SB brushed carbon (but are so stiff...).
Hi Dylpeters,
There are NO issues & Jimmy stands by his products more than anyone I know...
If you go by the last distributors website the FIRST thing on the front page says & I quote-
"Jimmy Lewis Factory & Construction"
Get what you pay for, with Jimmy’s amazing standup paddleboard construction.
Jimmy Lewis’ boards have the finest SUP construction in the industry, bar none. They are made exclusively in the Kinetic factory in Vietnam where they’ve been building boards for decades and no expense is spared to make Jimmy’s boards the strongest and lightest in the world. Jimmy’s boards are built to last a decade or more, and the hand-polished finish is crafted like a fine automobile.
