Has anyone paddled and surfed the 12' Laird Pearson. My intended use would be general cruising and small surf(ankle snappers) I am around 95 kg and 6'5" and heading for retirement ,but do have lots of longboard surfing experience right up to a 12' Munoz surftech longboard. All input appreciated, presently sharing a Naish Nalu 11'6".
I think that big Laird would be perfect for you.. I've not paddled one but they sure look good and Laird makes them work well.

I have only paddled both the 10'6 and 11'0 boards in flat water only and both are great boards. A great shaped board for riding waves too. I am 93kgs and both float me fine, paddle real well and turn on a dime. With the 12'0 I dont think you can go wrong from a flotation and paddling perspective
Thanks for that, if anyone is interested in long longboards ,Tom Wegener, a Californian now resident in Aus has a great site.He makes timber longboards and surfed some very big boards. They are a little out of my price range but we can dream...
Honesty the Arrow range are some of the sexiest SUPs going. Esp if you like to ride you SUP ala longboard style. moving feet up the nose and so on. Really low rails, High Perfomance tail rocker. Give you alot of options. great paddlers too. Can't say enough
Have watched all the vids about them.....Laird makes them look very turny.....would love a 12 foot one myself.....even looked up the price....about nz$2650.....if i was you i'd go get! A bit expensive this side of the ditch. We use the mickey munoz 12' as a sup
Gday I already own the 12' and 11' Munoz (surftech).I use them as my regular longboards, especially the 11ft ,which is a great all rounder.Since I bought them(several years ago) I really haven't felt the need for anything else, they really suit the small surf we usually get, they are light, and in my opinion surf really well ,especially considering their size.I never really considered using the 12ft as a sup(I had heard Joel Tudor used one for that purpose)for me it may be a tad narrow, and hence a little too unstable ,but I will give it a run.Still would love the 12ft Laird Pearson though, haven't got round to getting a price ,might be a shock.. .......Cheers
