Heavy surf lately.

I really like the little creatures leg ropes I have two...except for the easy release ..for the fingers..I cut the one off on the left after I lost my board .I just got to it in time ..as I jumped over the wave my big toe ..on the other foot got caught in it and ripped It off.It was almost a rock lobster .but I had to dump my paddle and swim like hell .got to it Just.so get rid of ya tangly parts .yes the sword cut it .ha .

If you ever get your leggie snagged on a reef or something in heavy conditins, whitewater, wash, current etc, you will wish you hadn't.
I'd rather risk my leash accidently releasing than not be able to get it off quickly in an emergency, that is one of the features I like with the creatures leash.
Anyone who has had their leash snagged in heavy surf will know exactly what I mean.

Good point ..I've never been snagged.touch wood .
i just can't afford to lose my board ...it will get smashed on rocks every time .
its a risk Im prepared to take. Its not the first time I've got caught up in this loop.
It sticks out like dogs ....s .

Also make sure you practice ripping your leggy off. I usually do this when I put it on to refresh my memory. Do it with your eyes closed and with both hands. I find myself doing this when my heart rate is over 100bpm and I haven't got in the water yet hahaha

Happened to me in Indo. Thought I was a gonner.

Board got dinged but breathing is good for your health.
