Camera board mount adapted to paddle mount by making adapter plate from kitchen chopping block
Tested out today camera goes good
Please don't tell landlady I have not been mowing lawns
Dog saw blowfly and is demanding extermination :)
Yes.....is important to have a priority list......that has at the top "how can I go surfing as much as possible"......second on the list would be "however can I afford my next $2500 board?
Paddle mount update.......board mount got knocked off mounting plate but had tether to keep track of it. Got some stainless countersunk screws and nuts to attach board mount to backing plate. Sunday session had camera stuck down wetsuit and was only taking pics while being blown back out along the makorori point line up (very windy)
Here we go.......tiny but pretty waves at Makorori centre break. Shooting into the sun on the first few rights......love the quality from about the 50 second mark
As the board mount sticky stuff failed have now got board mount tied down to my mounting bracket (made from a kitchen chopping board....with small countersunk stainless bolts with a cushion of epoxy. Had it out in big whammy surf at town break Thursday morning and it worked good. Didn't get much good footage as sometimes picking a reasonably kind wave to take off on is higher in the priority list than pointing the camera in the right direction

Well, those waves looked pretty good to me. They were a 1000 times better than the waves I didn't catch today, and much better than the waves I did catch yesterday But there are too many transition effects - I wanted to cruise along those waves with you a little longer

Okay.....but they were quite small short waves. Any time you ran into a transition we I was probably fast approaching rocks. Makorori has heaps of jagged rocks.....with the surf stuff happening on the sand bars further out
Ha Ha,
Don't worry bout the yard jobs, after watching that why would you? And I guess you wouldn't have to mow the lawn anywhere near as often as in sunny QLD here!
Hang on, I'm coming over, just gotta save up for a heated wettie, boots, hood and gloves
the water temperature hasn't been a big concern this winter.......if the early morning air temperature is okay am just wearing a three two.....but sometimes you need a serious wetsuit for sure (have mowed the lawns)
