I would have thought that we could at least be told a likely price range.
But that much carbon and the transport costs for something that big, are always going to keep the price up. So a key question I guess is how the price will compare with the SICs. That's going to be interesting.

I think the sic bullets are $5200 atm.
the price of boards are very rapidly moving up.
the one good thing with unlimited is they don't change much.
and for the money spent they would want to be current for a couple of years at least I believe.

These boards are made at Cobra.
i haven't given any of the retailers I deal with a recommended price to sell it for... They know their customers more than i do... Of course the SIC is also made at Cobra so it's fair to say the price will likely be comparable especially for boards imported at the current exchange rate.
$5200... Wow... I won't be whining as much about the prices here in Canuckistan then.. ouch. ($4300 Cdn for a 2016 SIC Bullet 17). That being said, I'm guessing an unlimited should hold its resale value better...
I'll have to enquirer about the $ for the NSP-DC from the local dealer... just out of curiosity..
Wow - you get Bullet 17s for just 5200 Australian dollars? In the UK we have to pay the equivalent of around 7400 Australian dollars.
A custom SIC delivered is likely to cost about 10,200 Australian in the UK.
I wonder why there are only a handful of UL boards in this country...

I paddled the 24 wide one in the flats and messy boat chop felt pretty stable for a 24 wide board, It picked up the slighest of boat chop wake, I certainly wouldn't feel comfortable on the 24 out in ocean down wind conditions I am sure many would. Dale is flying on it up in the bay. but I reckon the 26 would be just right for me.
I don't think 5200-5400 would be a bad price for an unlimited. considering many 14's in 2016 are 4+ grand Retail in Aus.
there is alot more involved again in the build process plus shipping costs etc.
A custom unlimited from one of the guys on the G.C would have to be the way to go for many price wise.
Had the pleasure of paddling DC's 17'10" x 24" at a BrisSUP Club social paddle. At 6'1" and 105kg, I never thought I had a chance on a 24" board but I was amazed at how stable it was and I was a vey windy choppy day in Pumicestone Passage at Bribie Island.
I reckon the 26" version of this would be super stable and a lot of bigger guys would have so much fun downwinding this impressive weapon. If only I had the cash and a place to store it.

Interesting. I'm considering getting either a Bullet 17 or a F16, or maybe a custom UL, and I'm trying to decide which way to go. In the conditions I DW in (very confused, very shallow, winds often 30-40 knots) you spend most of the time with your foot over the fin, so rudders aren't much use - you have to be able to steer it from the rear. My own experience on ULs leads me to believe that for most average weight (and skill) guys there is a crossover point somewhere between 16 and 17ft where surfing a board becomes difficult. But I haven't tried many ULs. Mostly on the interweb we hear that the Bullet 17 is a faster - or better - board. But few people seem to be paddling in the conditions I paddle in. So, what are your thoughts on the relative merits of the F16 and Bullet 17, especially if you can imagine conditions where the rudder is useless, essentially.
Probably better suited to the F16.
From my experience the F16 suits steeper, closer together stuff.
I also reckon it's a bit easier and more fun to surf from the tail compared to the 17'4" Bullet.
I have to to say though, those NSP DC 17'10" look the goods. I'm looking forward to getting a run on one. :)

The f16 comes into its own in the shorter messy and windy.
In the brisbane bay run I head straight for the shallow flats where other crew head for the channel.
But even on the gold coast the bullet can a slug and the 16 still goes. As I said I believe its a more versatile board.
The bullets seem to pull away a bit if its stretched out. Same as then dale paddled the ul nsp.
But when we had the last few k and the wind was blocked the nsp just left me f16 and mate on a bullet.
That nsp is even fast in the flats.
Ps area 10 from the photos you posted you really couldnt go anything but the f16

Pretty sure I've seen a SIC video of a lock device to fix the rudder so it's a fin, not steerable. Very simple little thing.
