I just spent the last 2 mornings testing the NEW Jimmy Lewis Striker in completely different conditions & the board surfed & paddled like a dream....First surf was at my local beach break with a few fun 3-4' gutless peaks left over from the day before's howling NE but perfect for the Striker because you could fade or trim left or right then run to the nose & then get a cutback or two in before the shorey...This morning's surf was in glassy 2-3' lefts at Boxhead so plenty of time spent on the nose for a 100m at time with nice open faces for big roundhouse cutbacks.. At 10'0"x31"x4.25"(152L) with it's low nose rocker & full deck pad it nose-rides effortlessly and is great for flat water paddling, it has a beautiful gradual rocker throughout the length of the board so it still surfs off the tail making this the ultimate all around board....I set it up as a quad with a set of Simon Anderson Future fins just to loosen it up off the tail which worked great but I'm sure the 2+1 setup that it comes with would suit most people....The best thing about the 10'0 is that Jimmy was happy to add the 10'0 to the range but hasn't turned it into a boat, he's really just made the 9'5 Striker longer more stable but beautifully refined & in proportion....Unlike some of the other 10 footers on the market which are still too unstable for the majority of surfers by either being too narrow or with too much off a rolled deck....Overall just a beautifully proportioned board & oh did I mention the weight....Approximately 8.5kg & it's not even Carbon....

I've been using a 9 5 Striker for a couple of years......when conditions are clean they are sooooo much fun. Great board to carve around on and get towards the nose. If I were to change anything it would be a little more nose rocker and subtle concave in the nose......apart from that it is perfect.
