So I decided the new Flow was just not what I wanted in a new SUP. I talked to a few people and settled on a chris Garrett Shapes design and build. Similar rocker to a Flow but a double concave into a single concave at the back..running with a square rounded tail and a 5 fin quick release system so I can change from a thruster to a quad with ease. Paint job by Chris which will be unique and a 1 off with purple and a bit of mauve/pink..just cause I like that and I'm old enough not to care what others may think.
I keep wanting to ring him and fatten it out to 30 and extend the size just a bit to get an extra 10 L or so..but need to just stay patience and trust the design and volume will work for me. We talked for an hour or so about how I surf, what I want to do on a wave and how progressive and committed I want to be. This will be my pushing my limits board.
I expect the learning curve to be more than I m used to and I may struggle for a few weeks..comments from others on here about dropping down in size and persevering pays off in the long run.
1 week waiting so far with 3 to go is doing my head in…I want it now.
(And I will also buy a 2nd hand Speeed to add to the quiver.)
Looks like it will be a weapon!!
Do you get the volume in Beer as well? (crack up that the conversion is on there!) . Too small for me... I reckon I am about 350 beers min......
