Hey Mad Dog, do you have the Sunova 105 fins in your skate? If not what fins are you using?
Cheers

No demos or even Skates to look at at Perth shop. want money upfront before the ship one over. At 105kgs I need to try before i buy a smaller board.
If Sunova want to break into west oz market they might want to get a few demos over here. Come on Bert remember where your roots are.
cheers
Really like the Wired and the Style models, similar style boards but different widths and volumes ,anyone tried either of these models?Have asked if they can be ordered with a ledge style handle.
I bought this board from Thomo, he is a link to a video of my first wave on it.
About the tail, I would advise you to put a kickpad on it. These wide tails love to be driven with the foot near the leash plug, having a rear pad with and arch and kick helps a lot position the rear foot by feel.
And these kind of shapes inject a ton of fun into the crappy waves sessions like in you vid!
Thanks Tino (and of course, Bert )for showing up here and taking the time to give such thoroughly detailed and thoughtful responses to our questions.
You're going to sell a lot of boards this way.
I'm putting on my cynical hat, another non paddler, shaper jumping on the bandwagon.
SUP design is a whole different branch of surfing.
To understand what is happening on the wave you have to be able to at least catch a wave on a SUP.
Better yet if you want to understand what is happening as a shaper with SUP boards you have to be able to ride SUP boards at an advanced level.
Doesn't matter how good the surfers are that are on your SUP surf team, if you don't ride them then you can't fine tune them.
All you are doing is just copying everything thats out there and then putting your slant on the design.
The best boards always come from the shapers that ride boards at an advanced level.
Darren Handley, DHD, comes to mind
Lol
I agree - the shaper needs to be at least an advances SUPper

There a whole container on the way to Galvo's shop. Its leaving here this week. Also he has 3 boards wright now:
- Acid XL 8'8
- Skate XL 8'2
- Soul 9'5
- Family 11'0
Possibly the Skate and the Soul could work for your weight.

Can you put an 8'5 Speeed in Galvo's container too?
Great looking boards but really should look at ledge handles which are a lifesaver when hanging onto board
when caught inside.
Carrying the board is not a problem for most of us so I think the pull out handle is a bit gimmicky .
Hey Tino,
Where can I get Sunova surfboards in Sydney?
