Just got my new longboard SUP
It's a black local custom 9'1 27" 102l 6,7kg.
I put hatchet future fins set and the board is just perfect for me. A real perf longboard awesome from the tail and the nose. Only a few sessions but I already love it.

Concave, double concave, vee double concave (all of them quite light).
It's a sandwich construction with pvc on the bottom and cork on the deck. Very good balance of rigidity.
Thickness 3"5/8.

This weekend I had to do a competition with this board because I broke my 7'5 shortboard SUP a few days ago.
In the Semi final the waves were quite good and as I thought I had almost no chance to make it to the final with this board because of the level of the other competitors (Ben Carpentier was one of them) I probably had the funniest serie I ever had in a competition.
Instead of trying to do shortboard like I did the previous series, I used this board the proper way with long carving, noserides, cross step cutbacks and bottom turns and big re-entry only at the end of the wave.
Result: tone of fun and a big smile during 20minutes but the worst score I ever had in a competition :-D :-D

For non-French people, Black Local is the brand of the innovative Sergio Munari, that have decades of experience buildling ultra-light and tough sailboards, and he applies his building knowledge now also to SUPs. One of the best built boards on the market.

He even has developed an "infusion" production line where he lays all the glass layers at once, vaccum-pushing (infusing) the resin in them, so that he can minimize the manual worked hours needed to build a board, allowing to build competitively priced quality boards in a developed country like France (but it requires a mold, so it limits the amount of different shapes he can produce).

A small video of this board if you want to get seasick. The cameraman was drunk . No, he was keeping two dogs on a leash and it was sunset, so I thank him to have filmed me half an hour in these conditions. I wish he had at least zoomed a lot less and filmed each wave completely (ungrateful) .
