Well Well, just unpacked the parcel I picked up at Tullamarine... A shiny new 10ft Longboard designed by Jackson Close and built by DEEP
wow.. this board will fly... cant wait to get it wet 10ft x 28.5 x 3.75 finely shaped for a little bit of houndogging on the Mal Sup style and its very light, thats important for me
ooooo yehh.... this will be alot of fun.....
Thanks ..Deep have done a pretty cool glass/spray job, too good to put a deck pad on so to keep the mal look it's a wax on job ATM.....
Looks unreal MJ. You're going to have some fun on that! Now you just need to start pushing for a 10 foot division at the club comps down there.

Thanks Casso yep its a pretty neat board, Simon and the lads did well...
Sup Vic are having a surf comp on this weekend and there will be a 10ft open category in that for the first time in Vicco..
And I would suggest also Surfing Victoria will be including the 10 ft category in all future Surf Events they host including the next State Titles, they may not know this atm but it will be happening so from there each State will be doing the same so culminating in Surfing Australia holding a National Title for the 10ft class...
.....sounds good doesnt it!!! Just have to make it happen now..

Yeeeeessss!!!!
Looks like a great cruising board for Mornington Peninsula or a perfect old guys board who has memories of hanging 10 in the 60's.

thought id add this picture of my 10 x 26 x 3 3/8 Deep to show they can produce what you want. I was after a more traditional log. My tail is less pulled in. Both boards excel at what they are for. And you can bet that Simon, with Jackson Close's input,
has come up with a cracker!

Yep that looks nice too Husq,a bit narrower at 26 inch but I guess would handle pretty much the same, I had my board at Lorne point the other day, very surprised how manouvreable the board is with the added bonus of being able to do some walking up to the nose, nice can't wait for some larger waves to go and have a play in..
The only downside is the length...haha for taking it on holidays, I believe 9ft is the limit?

Yep good for both occasions, cruis'n and going full throttle not to mention a bit of hanging ten, but sadly I don't remember the sixties, just a little bit of the 70's and the 80's is a blur....

From what I've heard your recent memory isn't too good either but that's probably due to your extended years.
Had the 10 ft er out in various conditions over the last few weeks and I'm pretty surprised how well the board goes, super fast off the rail turns, surfs like a shorter board and stable to paddle but with the added benefit of being able to go walking up the nose, a true performance mal sup....it's a really fun board to go and play with...

Nice one MJ.
Have to say, I have never riden a long board as good as MJ's new one. I took out my 12'6" as the wind was up, but swapped over while we were out there, and that board goes unreal. Easy to paddle, stable, catches waves way too easy, quick off the bottom and off the top, turns on a dime. And best of all, easy to walk to the nose. This just could be the board for everyone from beginners to seasoned pros.
