I have just returned from a surf trip to Sumatra in Indo and thought that I would write a bit of a review of my Flying Objects Board Bag.

Type: Roller SUP Bag

Size: 8'10 x 32" - 265 x 80 x 30cm

Weight: 7.225kg

Capacity: Two boards (in my case an 8'4" Sunova Flow & 8'7" Sunova Acid), two paddles, plus fins, leg ropes etc.

Carriage: Overall very good. Best trip I have had getting my SUP's through airports and around generally (we did over ten flights etc). The wheels are of very good quality and easy to role etc and you can either pull it or push it or stand it up and manoeuvre it in front of you. I also could lift the bag via the main handle without difficulty and it was nicely centralised and balanced etc.

Design: I am very happy with the overall features of the bag. The internal tie down straps were very good allowing a secure fit of two boards, paddles and extra padding etc. The external torsion straps also ensured there was no unnecessary movement of your gear. The deep wall profile made it easy to fit both boards and paddles with the nose and tail section having extra padding.

Durability: I would have to say outstanding as after many flights, most of them in Indo and on Indo airlines, plus assorted buses / taxies / boats and other modes of transport all of my gear made it there and back without a ding. Can't argue with that.

Overall: I would strongly recommend this bag to those in the SUP Community who are going to be doing any travel.

Thanks: To Dave at Core Boardsports Geelong for sourcing me the cover.

Great review!

I used the same bag for my trip last year to the Maldives and would agree with all the comments. My only two complaints were that when I originally tried to fit my 8'8" Hokua X32 and the Speeed it was not wide enough (after I had also added lots of padding), and it got dirty on the trip

So, Skeeee - will we see some surf video/photos?

Great review skeee.. I'm going to order one for my trip in October ...
How do you find the acid compared to the flow?? I'm on a 8'7 flow and love it and was looking at getting a 8'4 for my trip to Indo as a back up and a smaller board.. The 8,7 acid is a few less liters for me as I'm close to 200 kegs but think I could ride the smaller flow for sure

I will be writing a review of my thoughts and experiences with the Flow and the Acid over the next few days but generally I found them to be both great boards and I would recommend them for their overall performance and durability.

Afraid that I don't have any video and very few pics but here is one of the Sunova Acid enjoying the rail on a small one at Lhoknga in Aceh.
