I fish on my Starboard Avanti with a milk crate setup for rods and gear.
What do you guys do with your paddle whilst fishing so you can get to it easily for regular drift or position adjustments?
I've tried dragging it behind on a bit of rope tied to my waist, laying it on the deck between my feet and sticking it upright in a bungy in the milkcrate but am not really happy with any of those options.
What do you guys do?
Cheers
Hi downsouth
Easy - put a high sided bucket in the crate and stick the paddle in the bucket. The bucket is also handy for stopping a burley trail coming from the catch (few too many whitey biteys up around here).

Velcro idea is good but I'd probably put it on one rail to keep the paddle on deck and out of the way
An adjustable paddle that rotates so both blades are parallel , then fix to board as out riggers, Just a thought ?
I've done SUP fishing with my SB super fish 9'8", like you I did put a fish crate and plumbing plastic pipe fixed on the mast plug nut.
Now I use a kayak , last night I took the first wahoo of my fishing life
So, by the time I was doing SUP fishing, I did think about ( but not made) fixing the winch and a single ring on the the top of the shaft and use the paddle as a rod
