Long time lurker, first time poster. I have just started sup from surfski after a back injury. I normally ride a 10"6 nalu but I busted it. Meanwhile my wife wants to sup as well. So I got an inflatable shark mako 9"8
it was about $700 shipped. When it arrived I was surprised by the quality of the board.the pump was also good and it went to 18psi much easier than I thought. At 18 psi the board is rigid. Really rigid. on my first paddle at the bower in Sydney and the beach break at manly it did not flex at all. And I mean at all. Given it can be pumped to 25 psi this is a very stiff board.
i found it tippy in the chop because I am used to a 10"6 nalu, and initially found it hard to catch waves. However once I started getting the standing spot right I started going ok. On the wave it stayed very firm, and actually rode ok. It turns in a pretty lazy way which is pleasant enough. The ridiculous amount of rocker meant it never nose dived.
this is my first review of a pretty obscure board. It is actually quite surfable but not as good as a hard board.
