Steve I like the full length grip you get on your customs, not a lot of weight involved, and very handy for cheeky noserides !
Yes - got the idea from my wife's " Jimmy Lewis Striker" At my level of ability the difference in weight is not a worry! No hexagrip, no wax - no worries! The subtle blend of the " mini style lord " and the " hipster " will give the local beach breaks a new lease of life, once I get used to - by far the shortest board - I have ever had
At least if you're busting for a number 2 no one's gunna know, great shape though.
For small to shoulder high beach breaks - no skid marks on this board!
That tail is the secret sauce of these boards - gotta get your foot behind that hip to make them work though.
Having been on hipsters for the last little while they are interesting boards. Aside from the surfing characteristics I've noticed that they do have quite a small standing area to get the balance right, and with less volume in the tail I find I have to stand more to the front of the board than I have on other boards.
Interested to know what boards you are coming down from?
Good luck with it - it looks rad.
Two Smik Bonzers - longboard shape 9'9" and shortboard shape 9'7" - both 31.5 wide and 144 an 142 ltrs - sold the shortboard bonzer, this will replace it.
New model name "The Stehar" I like the sound of it
So do I - your post gave me a happy feel good boost! Thanks mate. Have to talk to Scot about sponsership. Heh heh heh!
