Greetings all,
Seeking a review on the Astro Dashana or, the Whopper as it looks like they are the same model with minor differences. Any info will be appreciated on how they compare with other inflatables. Also considering a 9'6 Imagine.
Its use will be short distance paddling, fitness sup yoga and sup yoga demo In a pool.
It is the wheelie bag it comes with being the main attraction for travel.
Many thanks in advance

I have the Whopper. It does look to be the same basic shape as the Dashana but only if you are looking at the Whopper in Deluxe construction as the cheaper Zen construction is only 4" thick and therefore much less volume. You may not need the volume if you are on a pool or in flat water, although I think yoga poses can use all the stability you can muster. The Dashana has a fairly unnecessary viewing window to see underwater. That replaces the tie down straps that you get on the Whopper. I would always opt for tie down straps. The only advantage the Dashana has for your purposes is an even full deck pad, whereas the Whopper has no pad on the front 3-4' and also has a kick pad at the rear. The kick pad is not an issue, but the nose is very slippery when wet. Maybe that's a problem for you although I don't know that you would ever be doing yoga poses on the nose of the board. I think the Astro Whopper is a terrific all round board.

Greetings PT Woody, great advice and comparison with the Whopper thank you. Definitely agree with you on the tie downs, my C4 wahine came with them and they make life so simple, especially as I paddle to work sometimes and need to secure a dry bag to the deck. Will have attend a Starboard demo day somewhere soon. Cheers :)

Here's a pic of Steve Fergo Ferguson getting it a little bit wrong on the rapids on an Astro Whopper yesterday:
