Does anyone have any exprience with both high aspect 500 paddle from last year and the high aspect size 'M' from this year?

I have the 500 from 2013 and thinking of replacing it with the 2014 size 'M' (according to SB latest catalogue size m is ,more or less, the same as the 500 from last year.
I took some pictures to compare them ans saw that the new blade is shorter and narrower.
Also the angle of the most recent version is smaller.

cheers,

charlie

No experience with the former HA.

I got the 2014 High aspect Large last week and coming from a Quickblade Magic 90.
Its shocking how much smoother and slicker these tall style paddles are going in and out the water with almost the same surface (The HA-L is 90.7).Not sure how it works, but they just make it easier to paddle fasterI always loved my Magic and it is still a very good paddle in confused water, but on flatwater its outperformed on any point with my new carbon baby.Im so impressed I,m now serious considering buying a M as well for the short sprint races (but have to convince the Missus as well because I bought 2 brand new carbon racers as well).
