I would be very interested in a review on this great looking board which is so light I could not believe it and at such a great price compared to others for a 14ft board. 27 or 29 inch is my dilemma and I know Sunova boards are tough but does it apply to this model as well, delamination etc or are they as good as they look???

dave -n.z. agent.they are all good, any model. they will only delam from extreme abuse & easy spot fix if so ..we have ocean faast & flat faast and just choose the width that you think suits yr ability & yr ambitions - if you are a hyper race nut get the least width but you will be working for it..cheers, dean

Great thanks, I will look at the 29 inch then as I am never going to be a serious racer!

They look quite a bit like Bark Dominators. But then that is a good thing - the Dom is an enduring design and maybe has won more race awards worldwide than any other single design.

Definitely would like to see a head to head comparison since it's pretty impossible to tell much from the photos.

Davesandan, I paddle both these boards locally in Sydney.
The 14 x 27 Faast (1) and 14 x 27 Ocean Faast (2). We have them both in Demo and a 14 x 28 Ocean Faast in stock

The 14 Faast are very good harbour and open water racing boards. Normally ridden narrower, I find this board super quick and stable as an all-rounder if I go a bit wider - thus the 27" as we get pretty rough water in the harbour. We have a few guys racing and placing on these boards in our Balmoral SUP-X series where we regularly get 40 paddlers turning up. On the Flats and small shop they are up there with the best and super stable for their width

The new 14 Ocean Faast handles rougher water, Ocean and down-wind paddling. It has an initial roll with secondary stability. Once again up there with the best in terms of speed. Not quite as stable as the Faast (1). I ride 27" so 28 or 29" would be the go for more stability.

The SUNOVA Race boards are a slightly lighter construction than the XXX balsa boards. We have had no issues with durability and hear of no issues reported.

Cheers Andrew.A

That's excellent info thanks very much, I was thinking of 29 wide as Port Phillip bay can get very choppy as well and my balance is average.
