Picked up this 8'10 flow friday arvo off brenno.
Coming off my 135l sunova creek on to this 119l flow was a breeze. Id say it was just as stable as the creek. My legs didnt notice the difference.
Paddle speed felt slightly slower but the waves weren't all that good which didnt help. The flow doesnt seem to bury the nose like the creek likes to sometimes which is great for late drops.
I didn't get many frontside waves was mostly backside this morning but the flow was loose and really easy to snap some turns. It seemed a bit quicker as well on the wave.
Will have to throw some quads on it and see what she does! I ran the same fins as my creek to see if there was much difference. I think the channels on the creek restrict it sometimes when you are after a quick release.
Love both boards so this will be a very fun summer!
Great board ...yep the flow is great as a quad.really loosens it up ...your set up works too.these are the fins I use on my flow ..
The Flow is an underrated board in the Sunova line up I reckon.
I appreciate its a few years down the line in design now, but I sure hope Bert doesn't change it or make it into something it really shouldn't be.
We've the choices of the Flash/Creek/Acid that fit well in a similar situation, it comes down to individual conditions where you surf most that is the main reason for choosing boards.
I look at my quiver and my Flow 8'7 always makes me smile
And that Blue beauty ^^ is really niiice.
