I came across a pair of boardies the other day for $199 and I thought I have to try these on. I figured for that amount of money they should be a bit different and come in size 35. Hell no size 34 a touch tight and size 36 falling off me. Good didn't like them anyway.
Clarky who cant go past the experimental new board short that revolutionises the surfing chaffing experience. I once bought a pair of quicksilvers, shiny green that lasted me over 5 years of frequent use. Or a pair of Hurley that were super stretchy and reduced the chance of chaffing on a long walk.
I think I know these boardies are they of the rip curl variety. Overspending on boardies was always an issue for me until globalisation and know the savy SUP rider can get most brands in town for 20-35 dollars with some hunting around.
Who are they kidding ha ha some sucker would buy them thinking they may improve ones surfing abilities
I have a pair of coconut fibre blend boardies made by Reef and they were $30, I take it the kids think they are not cool or something but they are going strong 4 years now of heavy use, I previously had numerous sets of boardies from Quicksilver and Billabong, which were fine in the 80'90's and early 2000's but the quality has completely been absent in these brands now and I would never pay full price for those brands now, Rip Curl were caught making several of their products in North Korea and claimed they never knew, so that is not a brand I can support anymore, $199 is mostly a marketing ploy to make you believe the board shorts are somehow the Rolls Royce of board shorts many of them also require a set of sunglasses to view them with as they are so bloody bright, but they are still made in China and also are not environmentally sound in construction being polyester mixes and/or some horrid man made fabrics that are highly unlikely to be friendly for your skin......or your wallet......AVOID.
BTW my favourites are these Italian made (still polyester) boardshorts , they do look pretty nice though and at least they aren't made in China! And that's US dollars BTW, but you do get free shipping LOL.http://www.saksfifthavenue.com/main/ProductDetail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524447065789&site_refer=GGLPRADS001_AU&prod_id=0400093300206&cagpspn=pla&CAWELAID=&gclid=CjwKEAiAoOvEBRDD25uyu9Lg9ycSJAD0cnBy_ih5vhVTCYs9-hn8A9brN2bmWZ8M5V3HPO2ekptJKxoC5J_w_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
But if you go to Thom Browne directly they do have a nice set of Cashmere boardshorts made in the UK for only $425 US www.thombrowne.com/classic-board-short-grey.html
So $200 boardies is not that expensive by comparison compared to Thom Browne who are surely the hedge fund managers and Saudi Royal Family go to choice for boardies.
Or go with James Bonds' personal choice and visit Orlebar Brown. Men's boardies are $495, currently on sale for a bargain $475 though - must be an end of season thing...!

PS: I am in no way, shape (definitely shape) or form affiliated with the above company... However, given the chance...
Hmmm. Might be a problem with the Tom Brown boardies.
They are Dry clean only.
They might get damaged if you get them wet!
LOL!

Dude, you ride a paddleboard. You'll probably fit the sz 34 if you don't wear your wetsuit underneath.
I have a pair of the $199 boardies....over rated. The best ever stretch boardies I have are from 69slam.com/
got a couple of pairs in Bali. Awesome colours and comfort
