So only 3 weekends away till the rescheduled 12 Towers Ocean Paddle Festival.
It was unfortunate that we had to postpone but I"m sure most breathed a sigh or relief when the news was broadcast.

Reconfirming the new schedule for the 12 Towers Ocean Paddle Festival will be the Easter Long Weekend of April 3rd – 6th. This will give race organisers a 4 day window of opportunity to hold the main race in the best possible conditions for ocean racing. We will be doing our best to avoid Easter Sunday!!

There is a whole new and exciting schedule put forward from the 12 T's committee and event partners. Not only will we be seeing the best of Australia's paddling athletes (SUP, Prone and SKI) and the masses of SUP enthusiasts, our local club SUPSA will be bringing a fun filled morning of Technical Surf Racing along with the much participated and hilarious antics of the "SUP Dash for Cash" and "Dig for Gold" event. Just adding to the excitement and stoke of the Easter Bunny's arrival, we have been granted exclusive tickets to each competitor/family/friends to the preview the new SUP film from Von Piros (Rob Pirie) "Living the Stoke 2" at Board Culture Mermaid Beach, Saturday night 4th April.

The 12 T’s committee are super excited to see everyone back for the event and have booked in perfect racing and paddling conditions for every paddler!!

The 12 T’s organisers and committee would like to take this opportunity to thank and show appreciation to our supporters and sponsors.

Hogs Breath Cafe Australia
DEEP Ocean Boards

And of course our loyal competitors and supporters.

For all up to date information regarding the event, check our event website www.12towers.com and the event Face Book Page www.facebook.com/events/1563922807228897/ *Remember when posting to hash tag (#12towers) !

See you all back on the Gold Coast in April for Australia’s Premier Paddle Race.

Just over two weeks till the much anticipated 12 Towers Ocean Paddle Festival. With a few big quality lead up events done and dusted, quite a bunch of the big names have come into form.
Can Tito go back to back and take the Trophy home to New Caledonia or can Beau O'Brian reverse the close result from last year. What about the old heads of experienced campaigners of Kelly Margetts and Paul Jackson......surely in for the top gong!
Travis waiting in the fringes for an 11th hour confirmation will rattle a few.
Or will it be the young maniacs like Matt Nottage, James Casey or Jayden Jansen.
You tell me........ I've thrown a collage together and a couple of freak paddlers amongst the pack. Anyone of these guys will end on the dias and I dare not even give a prediction. Not in any particular order, these guys are at the top of their game and are all world class athletes. Although I have only put together a sample of the Elite Men, the rest of the field will be hotly contested in all age categories and classes!
You add to it and give me your thoughts!
Doesn't matter what class or gender, lets throws some names around!!

Great looking board and great to see Simon at Deep backing the event again. I will be out in my boat filming to cover the event. It's looking good for the race to be run on Saturday. I will also be releasing my latest video Living the Stoke 2 Fiji on Saturday night after the race ,all are welcome it's free entry and Beer.

Good luck to all the competitors and lets hope we get some great downwind conditions , this race is for everyone not just the pros. Just by entering you go in the draw to win the above board at this stage you have a 1 in 60 chance of winning ,pretty good odds. Enter here www.12towers.com , see you on the water.

hey all, it's a bugger but i'm working both Friday and Saturday! So I can't paddle for one. But for those of you who know me, I usually get down to most SUP events on the coast and set up a Physio tent! Luckily i've got a kickass physio student Mike with me at the moment - So I will be sending him down Friday and Saturday to man the tent! He'll be able to give some rubs, strap anything that needs strapping and have a quick look at some injuries (hopefully none) and give basic advice and education! So make sure you get around him - doesn't cost any money! Was hoping to see many of you there, but all the best - it will be a cracker of an event!

Congrats to the winners and all that competed. Seriously at the pointy end of this sport QLD has a stack of talented quick paddlers and for boothy the new kid on a Stand up to come away with his first ever event win is massive against a handful of guys who can be on the podium at any elite event in the world. Just shows how talented this guy is on any craft in the ocean.

Plenty of photos on social media and by reports of my club mates a great 2 days and good fun.. I was bummed I missed it due to work comitments over the easter break as was a lot of people who couldn't make it due to Huey throwing a curve ball for the orignal dates and people already comitted to easter else where. Thats life..

Huge shout out to Peasey and the G.C crew that put a new date out there and made it happen. A lot of people would of put it in the two hard basket and dropped the event for the year, Not these guys they just love SUP and made it a great event still.
I reckon 2016 will be HUGE for this event and the other events that have already locked in dates.
SUP is starting to look healthier in the larger scale events in this country its good to see.
