Hope you all like the t-shirts being made for the upcoming 2014 Ke Nalu Flat-water Supfest at West Lakes in Adelaide!
The major sponsor Ke Nalu is providing awesome trophies for the outright winners in each division and all races now have medals, prizes and trophies! Thanks to all the sponsors who are helping to get this inaugural event off the ground,
including Starboard, Naish, Fanatic, Dale Chapman, NSP/DC, Indian Ocean Boards, Walk On Water, Flying Objects, Core Boardsports, YOB Aust. and Digital Media Creations.
Some of the interstate crew heading to Adelaide include Heath Meldrum, Chris Clarke, Andy Davies, Trev Tunnington and Jonesy, there are plenty more to be confirmed. It's also likely we'll be honoured with the Dogman's presence to liven up the commentary.
Entries will open very soon!

Get behind Australia's first National Flatwater Sprint Event. AuSUP has put in alot of work to get this off the ground, with assistance from Surfing Australia and Australian Canoeing. Flatwater SUP is the fastest growing discipline of SUP around the world and in particular Australia. This will be the first National Flatwater sprint event held outside America (the famous silver blade regatta).
Great distances - 200m, 500m and 5km. Entry fee covers ALL events. It is encouraged to race all events as there is a great overall trophy for the best paddler for each age group - the trophy from Ke Nalu is fantastic - pics to come.
Get down to SA to support this event. Its going to be fun, fast and fantastic!!
This is going to be a fun few days!!
Will be great to see Australia's top paddlers proving the hype surrounding their sponsors new flat water specific boards.
Maybe the top guys and girls will be given a fright by some of the big powerful units out there??
Who knows??.....as Goochi says, this is a first National sprint event for Australia.
It's going to be interesting
Just used the entry portal. Pretty straight forward - you get your password within about 12hrs. Follow the steps to the invoice page to pay.
When you enter, you are entering for all 3 events for $100 - you can't select separate races. It's a weekend of 200m, 500m and 5km. Not many events give you 3 races (plus heats) for such a small entry fee!
Entries close 22nd of March so get in quick.
Dogman on the Mic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The event has gone from epic to full throttle, mindbending, sub sonic paddling Festival of death
I've entered and frothing to mix with the crow loving Adelaide crew
Recent times from the Sunshine Coast. Couple of good times there for the ladies - don't let a National Sprint Trophy pass you by. The fastest female sprinter in Australia! There are Open, O/40 and O/50 divisions for the ladies.

Hi Angie
AC have confirmed that the heats will start on Friday from midday - to allow for travel to the SUPfest. These will be the heats for the 500m sprint. All racing has to be finished by 3pm Sunday, the last event on the program is the 5km - so I'm guessing that will finish around 2pm.
I will check for you.
With the difficulty in transporting boards interstate, especially a 14', are there any arrangements for borrowing / hiring a board for the sprints?
The 5km obviously would be harder to organise or borrow a board to use..
Thanks.

Hey jt, anything is possible. If you are in town I'm sure we can find you a suitable board, let me know asap!
Cheers, Phil
