well, the hearts really good now. I'm better than before.

As for Starboard, I've taken a great opportunity to be a part of starboard team and a part of Surffx too.

Do I have change much- no really, kind of like a free style arrangement.

will I be faster- hopefully. will I beat our elite paddlers in our training group- no, but if they have a off day i'll be there

will I enjoy myself paddling, dw ing etc- yes, yes, yes.

Not sure i'm ready to take it to the next level and fight sharks off too

I had a 12'6 sprint ordered already. looking at beau's new all star, starboard are leading the way with bottom designs and that is of great interest to me.

I would like to thank Starboard and Surffx for this opportunity.

Also dc ,dale and co, paul, angie and steve- goldcoastsup and Justin mitchell for all their help to date to with gear

i'll miss sparring with dj

and ptwoody's opinions rule now

cheers

ps.just to let everyone know where i'm at now

Yes this should be a major concern for you in here. Upstairs he has been guilty of showing severe mounts of bias towards his Hot Log manufacturer

Well done LL. So does this mean Starboard are bringing out the Tommy as a new model ?

Wow, never thought I'd see the day Lacey sells out

Good on ya mate!

You'll be well looked after with FX and Starboard backing you.

I'd be willing to put money on you having an 8'8" Airborn in your garage before the end of the year too

Congratulations Lacey. They make great boards and the Wind FX guys are a nice team. Have known those guys for over 25 years and they're still around.

....but surely having to agree with PT Woody must really hurt.

not a lot really, probably do some more races, wouldn't mind getting over wa for a true dw race- king of the cut.

do stuff around the traps, promo's etc I guess

but generally just keep doing what im doing. it was pretty clear

free styling mostly.

i'm not gun champ or anything by far, but I guess I can relate to the every day paddler as well as read whats on the backs of the elite guys boards before they are just dots on the horizon

its all new to me

From a marketing view. It's important for brands to support "a everyday paddler" "lifestyle paddler" as these type of people are the people who buy the gear so it's handy to have some of these on their teams to give feedback and promote in a different way than like an elite racer with his name at the top of a podium.
Chuck Patterson would have to be the most well known "lifestyle paddler" in sup with naish. Yeah he races and surfs in contests but it's his general hype n involvement and Stoke that promotes naish in such a good way.

It's really positive to see stores and brands putting faith in people other than 20yr old guns as the majority of the sup world is 35+

How's your pearly whites and selfie ability LL ?? Haha

ockanui, my tomy boards were not dc's- very different bottom shapes.

im rapt to be going starby because they are doing the some very good things that I like

andyr, its always harder to get the good money for custom boards, but I can honestly say this one was the fastest best all round down boards I've owned full stop.

very competitive in the flats and a super bump getter. the board is 3/4 carbon. weights about 11 kgs, absolutely no damage ever. very stable at 25" because the design uses every bit of that 25".

surfs a treat too when you need to come in through surf.
