Hairs up on my kneck !
Wish there was a spot like that in Qld

Nine mile is a big slabby wave but not shallow like that. Big take offs none the less and from what Ive seen whilst fiahing it would be achievable Stand up style

Are you talking about nine mile reef out off tweed heads? If so I have been out there and seen some crazy waves that are very rideable.

I'm picturing you getting out of the car thinking "Jeez it's small, glad I brought the SUP".

Thats the one Windara

Seen it about 6-8 ft clean and semi bowly over the years of fishing out that way.
Just need the jetski to get out there

Yeh ok. Ive also surfed the north side of cook island many moons ago. Take offs next to marys rock and had it wrapping right around and heading south on the same wave. Sizable and with a big paddle through the cause way out to cook with a bag of oranges under my chin ha!

True!
i have watched that wave many times and it is pretty nice Although breaks tight to the rocks.
I know a few boogers who surf the ledge on the South Eastern corner. Wedgey little slab. Looks way too out of shape to surf.

Any dust ups on the rocks ?

would be a great place to get some footage given the backdrop of the island Mary's Rock etc.

we used to fish that area for big kingies ,gt's etc till they made it a marine park.
