My friend Jamey living in Alaska who took me to ride the tidal bore just sent me this sweet clip. Fair to say the wave was longer than my one, plus he gets gonad points for boardies! -

That is hardcore in boardies!! In Qld we get pretty spoilt with warm water and i only really wear a wettie in winter due to the colder air. I can't imagine how cold that water is... If I went there and tried that, I'd have that much rubber on Greenpeace would show up and roll me back in or I'd be running from the Japanese whaling fleet

Not me..just an observer and stoked to be there at the right time of the day to see it happen. He didn't make it all the way but made a great effort...

Nice wave from the 9 minute mark, when he got a shoulder to work.... good being on the outside lane.... everyone else rides whitewater

I can't help but say "What....NO leggie... what was he thinking?" (actually a waist belt with quick release leash)

It would suck to have your board ride on for 13 minutes after you fell off

The wave hasn't really got much to work with until that shoulder forms later on and you kinda have to ride the white water there its a weird wave, not sure if you surfed it before...

Pretty sure he would have a leash. He told me himself the place takes 1 person per year...
