Thumbs Up

I'm still riding my 2013 Glide, but I did sneak into Santa's workshop for a quick peak at my new 2014 version...

Not much to see until the grand unboxing. Gotta make my board rack soon.

Downwind opportunities seem to be a bit thinner on the ground recently, so I grabbed this one while I could. It was maybe 15knots , gusting 20 with a little bit of onshore it it. It seemed windier on the beach. It's amazing what a difference the extra 5 knots from the gusts make - it really is the difference between getting onto runners easily or not for me.

I was pretty buggered from digging out a pond all day in the garden, so I wasn't real committed to putting in a lot of grunt. Even less committed to staying on my feet it seems, so I ended up swimming quite a few times.

I reckon the big thing holding me back at the moment is my stance... I really do need to get closer to the centreline so I can move my feet around more fluidly... hopefully the new board will just give me that extra bit of confidence with the stability to make it happen.

No one's making you watch this - so if you do... don't ask for your 3 minutes back
