Australia Day – and a great way to celebrate it with a race on Botany Bay !
With days of rain which continued late last night, the skies cleared at sunrise and blessed us with a window to race in dry conditions before starting back up as we finished for the day – talk about good fortune.
A great turn out today at a beautiful location, being Georges River Sailing Club at Dolls Point with our racetrack being north to Brighton Beach and return – 11km in total.
Belinda & Shez both performed above their weights (no pun intended) and both Greg & Todd fought the good fight into the headwind.
Great morning, fantastic coffee (I'll be back), beautiful location, good people and an absolute pleasure to again be involved – well done Dez and the gang at Blast.
Enjoy my video and images of the day and yes, if you'd like any copies of photo's, drop me a line.
hi, how long have you been doing oc1 for.
pretty good fun. i wish i had the room and money to have one again.
cheers
Nice Video Chris and good work today on the OC1 ... will we ever see you back on a SUP? We miss you dude! Great racing with you and all the crew again today ... yes even Greg and Todd ...
Thanks Lacey, love the outriggers - hardest thing is getting back on a sup as they seem soooo much slower after gliding on an OC.
Do yourself a favour, sell a couple sup's and try grab one up there, they are the 'ducks guts'.
Mine is 10 years old, ridden by Leigh Wilson to win the 2002 Nationals and has been mine for some time now. Part of my family.
Bernie....great day yesterday as expected....every event gets better and better and lovin' all these locations too. Great job - as for sup, you know I'll be back.
Nice vid Chris and keep posting mate. We've seen the transformation from surfanimal to supanimal,is oc1animal on the cards ?
