washing down my board this afternoon and drying it off as always I noticed these bubbles, they are hard so it can't be paint lifting, any ideas, is is something to be concerned about.
Only had the Glide for 7 months and wash and dry after every paddle!
It seems odd..
Next time we paddle together I'll check it out.
(With me on my new 14x 29 Glide)
What did Naish or a Naish dealer have to say about it?
There not from heat are they? Body boards do this when left in the sun for a very short period of time, actually had a short board do it as well
No sun exposure always in the bag on the car or beach, going to take it to my local to see what they think and see if it's even worth the worry!
They are always really good to me so I trust them to let me know what's the likely cause.
thats a weird one ...defiantly a chemical malfunction....
..
if you get a replacement can i have this one
I was told by a manufacturer (SIC Maui) that keeping a board in a hot damp bag can cause that sort of thing. They felt that padded bags were good for protection while moving boards around, but they were against carrying a board in a padded bag on top of a car for any length of time, and the results they described were pretty much like in your pictures. After talking it over with them, we use a thin UV cover with elastic that just covers just one side of the board for sun protection, and still allows it to breath; so far so good.
