I have a Naish Hockua x32 length 9.1
It came with a Tri fin setup, I am keen to try a quad setup as I hear it is faster and looser in this setup.
But... I don't feel like wasting the money on new fins, if it isn't going to make any difference.
Could I use the quad fins from my 7.6 quad surfboard ? Or do I need to get specialised SUP fins ?
I generally surf small 1-3 foot waves max on the sup.
Thanks

Most SUP fins are just surf fins anyway. No harm trying what you have already if they have the same fixing (FCS or Futures type).
yes you can.
I have a Hokua x32 9.1… the fins came straight of of a 5.10 short board.
I prefer the tri set up over the quad as there is no real speed difference in the setup but the board turns so much better as a thruster. A small fin does have some slippage down the wave front at times but easy to control and super fun.
I just use normal surf fins in large cause I way about 95kg. I only needed to buy the rear set. Go the clappas aye.
X32 8.8 with Shapers JC Carbon Flares quad set. Loved the way it flowed (until I snapped the board a few weeks ago!). Give it a go.
