Finally decided to tidy the shed up (a little bit). Whipped these little racks up in about an hour for under $100. I wonder if my collection of DC's is anywhere near Stimo's yet?

I think Stimo has you on variety and colour, especially his new 'safety green' board.

Any tricks/advice for building a similar rack? About to do the same at my place to hold a couple of surfboards and race boards and any sage advice would be greatly appreciated…!

Hey Bleachy,

Yeah man, I just use a couple of lengths of pine wall stud, 70 x 35, batton screwed to the wall, (into the studs), on edge.
I used 24 mm tassie oak dowel for the racks. to this I drilled 24 mm holes where I wanted the dowels to protrude. Then having cut the dowels to length I knocked them into the holes and voila. The holes, I drilled them so the dowells had about a 5 degree angle upwards. Easy as!

Yeah that's exactly what I did. I would probably use a square piece of timber for the uprights like a 75x75 only so the dowel has more stability but mines in 75x35 and seems to hold just fine. All carbon boards tho. Also not sure how much tassie oak is but I used 22m broom handles. $5 each and you get 2 or 3 length from it.
