Dale Chapman was kind enough to show me today on the Sunshine coast, his new hollow carbon Makaru CX1 14' x 30" race board and the 14' flat water racer. Conditions and time did not allow a full test, but I was extremely impressed by the build quality and stability of both boards. The Makaru CX1 I believe will become a classic in time, strong enough to last and fast and stable enough to handle all conditions. The flat water 14' felt at first tippy, but wasn't and very quick, DC has proved it's ability in recent races on it.
Here are a few pictures, and I recommend anyone looking for a 14' board to contact DC.

Saw it today and looks awesome. Would loved to have paddled it if I'd had time today.
