Id be chucking a bit more deck grip on the tail section for when you really need to get right back but other then that looks mint

Funny you mentioned that. Simon said he was going to extend the grip all the way to the tail.
You can actually surf it off the tail like a normal board on runners. a little bit more fun than using a rudder!!!
I had a blast on Simons the other day. I was worse for wear but that's another story about Japanese food, Scotch, Dry and a great band.
It paddles and surfs super smooth, cuts through chop, nose comes back up when buried (I was trying to poke it under) The pedigree is there. For #1 they are starting from an insane place.
I think Simon realised the grip didn't come back far enough first paddle. I stepped off it a few times.
Rudder on runners not fun?? Not sure about that one. When you're on the small runners you can't really get back enough to zig zag around to follow the hole from the tail. This is where the rudder comes into its own based on my limited experience.
They have great design files for bigger boards also. I checked the prone 18's while I was there and one of these widened with a rudder would be great fun and very fast.
