Conditions for the 2015 Immerse SUP & Paddle festival are looking great for the coming weekend. With over 2m of swell and SW winds it could be one of those winter events that is remembered for a long time. Burleigh point found a late ground swell yesterday afternoon so it is looking promising (attached photo).The SUP Surfing will be held this weekend on the Gold Coast with a newly added community division so everyone (SQ Member or not) can have a surf. The Marathon and Technical racing will be held in Wynnum Brisbane on the 29th - 30th of August.

The swell yesterday arvo was epic..we went from flat in the morning to some beautiful screamers..was surprising just how fast the swell came on. This weekend should be awesome and a good time to watch some world class SUP's in the surfing.

That's a great idea Mick...with this time of the year to not only get some renowned QLD surfing conditions but to also escape the cold for all those that don't live in sunny QLD....

Don't know about being warm here , Stanthorpe got 5 inches of snow last night that's only 3 hours away from the comp area , it's single digit mornings here.
