One move that didn't make it onto Jezza's Video.
Paddling backwards with a wave is pretty tricky, you need to reverse steer by leaning the board to the opposite side you normally would to turn, using the outline of the nose to steer.
Resisting the board spin is all in your back foot, use the paddle also as a reference point.
When you decide to spinn, the board will naturally do most of the work for you, initiate the spinn by turning your body, and look to where you want your body position to end up.
Switch your stance (or if your really cleaver, take off switch and end up normal) as the board finishes the spin.
And get your stance sorted, and continue surfing.
This gets harder as the waves get bigger as the faster your board is going the more it wants to turn, so practice in small surf.

Love the tips and photo sequence JB.
Should be more of this on the forum.
How are you liking the 9' Fanatic, It has the best decal out of any production board i have seen.
Love the fanatic 9'. She is so fast and drivey, had heaps of grunt. All mixed in with a really loose and snapable tail. This day I was running the Gerry Lopez big thrusters and a G-1000 trailer and it was really sweet. I urge everyone to give one a demo if you can get the chance.
