Today I caught up with Keahi de Aboitiz.. He's probably Aussies best SUP'er and it's not often that he's here in Melbourne.

The new 2012 Cabrinha boards looked great.. They are very different to last years boards and come in three different construction.. I took some pictures.

The boards look great, a bit step up on previous years from Cabrinha. The price is reasonable, I think the 9'8 is about $1500.

I took a 9,8 demo out today and loved it they are really easy and forgiving while paddling in and taking a drop then nice and maneuverable while surfing. Im no expert but I couldnt find a fault with this board I get mine in 3 weeks

Its the c series DJ the hybrid is a beautiful board but I am a full time student and stretched to the limit at the moment. They are great value for money and I like that fact that I can take one board to the beach surf it if its nice or windsurf it if its a howling northerly. Have you taken one for a demo?
They are worth buying just for that Y handle it should be industry standard

I surfed with boofy this morning and also had a few waves on the 9'8 - without doubt the most fun sup I have ridden. We were like 10 y/o grommies - soooooo much fun and soooo easy to surf.
Surf was a beachy 2-3ft and boofy and I are roughly 70kg and 90kg and the board was perfect for both of us. Glad boofy is buying one

they look like old school rossie snow ski graphics or something.

for me the 8'10 hasn't got the litres and the next one up, well i have been on a surf sup board that big for 2 years or so.

maybe the 9'2 or what ever it is would be ok

You missed your chance LL - I drove up your driveway this arvo to lend you the cabrinha before I returned it but you weren't home ?

And Doggie - all sups would look the same to you cos from what I remember you are always looking at them from water level after you've fallen off

Custom so you don't look like the next kook, stand out.I love playing with graphics on boards and the stock standard stuff floating around is boring,I'd rather they pump them out in plain old white

I have liked all your custom colours and tints you have shown in your posts except those leopard skin edged zebra patterns that remind me of the dresses old tarts wear to pick up on grab a granny night at the local Bowlo

You know the black and white zig zag one nothing like the clean smooth flowing look of the tints you have gone for on your last few boards
