The Carlton Football Club List attended St Kilda today to find out "Whats SUP".
Mick and Phill invited Kristi down to put the players through their paces both on the water and on Kahuna Street SUPS.
Stui Thomas helped us out by bringing down his Starby Atlas for the tall 7ft timber to stay afloat and got to take Kristi's SIC 14 Bullet for its virgin run.
The guys did a range of exercises including general paddling, push ups, squats, sit ups, leg cross overs, prone paddle, last man standing and a host of other activities.
The guys soon learned that a SUP is not quite as stable as they thought when your trying to do sit ups etc. What was easy on the land became much more challenging with back wash from 10 other boards unsettling you!
The Blues had a wow of a time and according to the coaching staff gave SUP the big thumbs up.
Look out for the full article in tomorrows Herald Sun.
The guys from SUPHQ and SUP Bus have provided Kristi with a host of opportunities over the last 3-4 years, thank you so much for your support.
Phill
Big thanks to Kristi, Phill Page and family who travelled all the way from Geelong to make the class!
Kristi had to cram 20 minutes of instruction into less than two minutes with the players, so job well done. Also, big thanks to Stu for lending us your board, much appreciated!
Cheers
