Awesome work from Matt Nottage to podium at Molokai. Conner 1st Travis 2nd.
Rest of the Aussies did well with a couple more in top 10.
Big crew from Sydney and Central Coast. Nice to see all enjoyed the race with so many different tracks taken.

M2M Conditions first 18 km was Brutal with a North Swell with NNE Wind around 15/20 knots
About 2km from the Kamalo Buoy it was a Mini Escalator Ride like say a Morton bay Run
Once you past the Kamalo Buoy Conditions where Just EPIC Surfing and Gliding with not much paddling for the next 18 Km cruising around the 19.5km/h doing 4 minute k's Bulk Fun.
The last 3 km Had No Wind just a Punishing Paddle Fest.
I had 6 Major Falls (Spew) I was happy with my time 3:39:17 in 19th Position I one the over 50's but was hoping to break the 3:30 mark hope I can do it this Saturday at the next M2M & M4M race.

I'm so Hungover right Now I stayed on Molokai at my Molokai friends Place drunk so many Corona's then got stuck into the Red Wine, Red Wine just smashes me.
Got a Makana Kai Air Flight back to Maui this morning then got invited to a BBQ a Kanaha Beach for lunch there was so much food I gorged myself STOKED.

Main Street of Molokai

A Molokai Morning Looking Over to Lani.

Sid is a LEGEND, Sid is THE MAN to get your Board Transported, the boat had like a 20 Board Stack, Styling.

Good Mate Jack Dyson on the BBQ

The guy in the middle Ralf Sifford is a WEAPON of a Downwind Paddler, I've had some of the best paddle battles against this Bloke, fun times.

Cheers for the report Phil, so good to see so many Aussies at the pointy end.
I'd love to see 2 of those guys/boards in the top 5 for the M2O as well and actually wouldn't be surprised to see 2 in the top 3 (yep big call I know)

Annabel Anderson on a 14ft only 9 seconds behind Terrene Black on a UL in second place, and just 2 mins behind the winner, Devin Blish who was also on a UL. Wow. Just 1% slower on a 14. Does anyone bet against her eventually beating all the ULs while on a 14?

Well done Marcus. I watched Tingy work on the rudder system with Jimmy. The board looked great.

Yep. Great Pics Phil. Keep them coming.
(Except you need to get a nipple reduction)

What can you say about Dave... I have watched him do this on the ski. Top 5/10 at Molokai etc on ocean Ski...then before that he was an awesome Ironman and swimmer.

Good Aussie product showing up in the land of SIC dominance. Good on you guys with your ideas.

Dave Kissane is certainly a downwind machine. So much experience and a great reputation in Hawaii and here.

He is slipping in his old age though. He's actually "come out" this year and has trained. In fact he's been running 2 great sessions in Sydney each weekend. One in the ocean and one on flatwater and he's been particularly generous in sharing information and knowledge.

There is still a rumour that he's continued to train under the cover of darkness though.

What board is Jimmy Casey on? Saw him at the Olukai race on an SIC but this is clearly something different.

James is riding a custom DEEP as his sponsor JP Australia do not have an unlimited board. Matt Nottage and Toby Cracknell were also on custom DEEP unlimiteds for the same reason. Marcus Tardrew shaped. That's Marcus in the post above with the snorkel and mask on.

They're using a flattened spectra rope, so there able to stand on it when stepping back.

thanks chris, was assuming that it was not wire, just haven't really seen anything like that before as most boards i've seen have it built into the board

Naish LE - 17 from a couple of years ago has wires on the deck.
Nicely diverted from standing area.
And no handle.

Hey Jarryd.
The product is called dyneema. It is lighter and stronger than wire and won't stretch at all. I tried the external system on my last board and there was just no friction and standing on it wasn't an issue at all so we did the same with these boards.
