Amazing race and definitely on my bucket list. Every year I see this race I remind myself that I have to do it. I had not realised how popular the 'clog' type downwind boards are. No doubt they have major advantages. What were the wind speed averages and was this the reason for their popularity as I had always thought sub 20 knot averages would be the 'clog' and over 20 knots average wind speeds the traditional DW board?
