G'day everyone..
For all those going to Maui this year:
Is the Maliko race on the weekend in between M2M and M2O? I can't find anything online about it.

For those doing M2M what do you reckon about a support boat versus going solo?

When it comes to a support boat it all depends - Your skill/speed/experience level.
Do you want to spend the money if you don't have to. Without knowing anything about you one couldn't say....

If you are unsure and haven't done anything like that, then YES, by all means grab a boat . Nothing like peace of mind....

For the Pai’lolo Race you don’t really need a support boat but if you think you need one by all mean go for it. The Pai’lolo Channel Crossing is THE SECOND BEST race on the Planet I didn’t any training last year and went under 4 hours. In 2010 when I did train I did the M2M in 3 hours 35 minutes just surfed the hole way “Yes Please Mr Wizard”

From August 2013 till November 2013 those 4 moths saw 5 fatal Tiger Shark attacks on Maui remember the Maliko run and the Pai’lolo Channel are a Caf’e for Tiger Sharks in 2012 while doing a Maliko run I nearly ran over a big 8ft Tiger Shark while on a runner I s##t and was a mile of the coast.
