Hi All,
Jimmy has a couple of new models coming out later in the year for people who like SUPing in a bit of juice.
They will join the 12'0" Bombora Gun for chasing serious waves.
There is the 'Son of Bombora' (10'6") and the 'Baby Bomb' (10'0").
They will be able to be set up as a thruster or a quad.
Have included a couple of pics of one of the Baby Bomb proto's on land and being tested in the water.

That backhand tube sequence just did my head in!

Amen. Where's the wave? Who's the rider? He sure knows what he's doing- and with finesse. Check out his foot positioning and paddle technique.
The curves on the board look really, really nice.
Nice thin rails and great outline. That looks like the best Gun to (soon) hit the market IMO.
The 10' or 10'6" would be awesome!
Amazing sequence but would love to see the next photo/pounding!
so, that's supposed to to be a big wave board like the PSH 12'? baby banana I recon . I recon you'd need a solid 6 foot wave or is it a 2 foot hawiian (How the **** do you spell hawaaii)to get that thing onto a wave. PS I don't know anything but I have an opinion!!
Def one of the best looking plan shape's and outline"s of any Sub I have seen yet, I am really impressed with the Jimmy Lewis boards.
Great pics also.
Great sequence, I hope the conditions look like that tomorrow - there is a chance. Also hope to see a few more JL boards land in Melbourne.
Yeah I've always been a big fan of JL boards. My wifes 10'4" is such a nice board, bullet proof and nice and light.
The 9'0" surf shape was right on the money when it was first released. I'm keen to see their new surf shapes when
they finally get them on the market.
Take a drive to Patagonia they had piles of them, Jason from Torquay rips on his JL 10'2 nice board.

When I asked them about a demo they politely said NO Brendon.
That was about 6 months ago and there were plenty of JL SUP boards leaning against the walls.
It may have changed now.
Ask again, you dont ask you dont get.

Hilly - The 10'6" Son Of Bombora is 28 1/2" wide and the Baby Bomb 10'0" is 28". From what I'm seeing I'd say the 10'6" would be the one suited to bigger guys.
Maroubra SUP - The waves are in Maui and it's Connor Baxter.
Logman - Yes, they will both be big wave boards, for different size people and different size big waves. Jimmy already has a 12'0" gun called The Bombora for the top end stuff. It was the first production big wave gun in the world. Check picture of it below. Will see if I can dig up some surf shots of it in a sec.
These are more semi-guns that fill the gap in your quiver between your everyday surf SUP and the mondo days big wave gun.

Looks and sounds awsome Courts, Im looking for a gun style board but at 65kgs i think the 12 will be way to much board for me to handle.. I think these babys are just what im after ......then i have to get good enough to tackle waves big enough for the board to come into its own.
Please keep me/us informed if and when you here anymore about them
Belly
smart move be jl.the baby bomb should do well in oz. it's the type board a lot of people on the breeze drool about- me included
cheers
Wow, just saw this thread, cool pics, great looking board!!
Check out how far forward the fins are and the amount of rocker, maybe I am not so off with my semi gun after all!!
A mate (Jedi) has a JL - great looking board!!
Drum,
It's looking like the SOB 10'6" will be around 138-140L and the Baby Bomb 10'0" around the 120-125L mark.
More pics posted soon.
