Fin is hand made also

Built the paddle also put made the shaft to big so have just finished taking it down to a thinner diameter

I put a single piece of Kevlar up the centre of the shaft which has given it plenty of flex and hopefully enough strength

That's one of the nicer Kaholo jobs we've seen IMO...nice tidy finish and lets the timber speak for itself.

That's so beautiful well done mate you should be very proud and good idea with the clear spin out so you can see inside.

Nice paddle too but all that cedar on the shoulder of the paddle will ding really easy , on your next one fit a hardwood edge strip around the edge before you shape the face and back.
