Yesterday a good friend of mine let me borrow his new LE boards so I could paddle them and take some pics..
I first took some pics of both boards together and I then took each board for a paddle and took more pics of each one on the water..
This is my first lot of pics.. These boards are sweet.. Very sweet..

Wow, narrow? I'm guessing they would make you work on the stability for the extra speed. Challenging with reward?
So who shaped these boards that are coming out this season? Too lucky with the bumble bee shot by the way.
They still have the Iggy logo on the bottom so either that's more of a tribute thing or else they are the last boards he designed.
The first board that I took for a paddle was the LE14 and took a few pictures... Just a few..
I think these shapes are designed for Kai Lenny (lighter people) and lets hope they do a range for big Chuck Patterson soon..
Here's my pictures of paddling the new LE14... Note that the fin is not the stock Naish fin.

Although completly different boards it seems like it has a similar rocker line to the 2012 Starboard BOP, anyone else see it?
Good looking boards no doubt, been keen for a paddle on them since I saw photos online.
Not sure I could own one, isn't there some kind of rule against owning a board worth more than your car?
Holy crap fellas, at 23'" and 24" wide that isn't near enough for my old thighs!!!
I would spend more time in the water than paddling I think.
ET.
the dvs lahui kai have had this shape out for a while now
well before starboard and naish. but everybody goes ga ga with the imports
isn't that Starboard and Ace Pro and not a BOP? The rockers do look very similar (SB/Naish).
The guys have been going strong on the Ace Pro over here, flat and downwind (up to 25knots so far)
DJ - please twist your friends arm and take the LE on a downwind and let us how it goes!
And Chucks board is the Glide 27" wide - just not in LE (yet?).
"the dvs lahui kai have had this shape out for a while now"
Was waiting to see how long it would take for someone to connnect the dots . . . . . .
I'm not seeing any particular resemblance between the LaHuiKai in pics and the LE - or am I missing something?
had a quick dw on this today in about 20knot northerlies. at 90kg this board is under volume for me and requires constant focus to keep going. in saying that when you get it going it absolutly flies!! i find the nose of the ace stops when it hits the run in front, however this displacment nose allows you to paddle over and onto the next run with ease. its slightly more unstable than the 25 ace however you can actually control it and position it where you want which i find i cant do on the ace.
this board is for winning races, not so much for getting out and just having fun.
Is it me, or they copied the finishing of the brushed carbon Starboard's?
Nice boards, but it's the same finishing used by Starboards since a 2/3 years ago
Here's my pics of the LE 12'6" BOP board..
It looks very similar but it's very different with slightly less rocker.. boxyer rails.. and sharper edges.
