The Ocean & Earth Southern Cross SUP Festival Starts this Friday.
As you know the O&E Southern Cross SUP Festival has made the moved down to the Sussex Inlet this year.
The event is open to all states but acts as the NSW State Titles to progress our NSW team through to the Surfing Australia National Titles later in 2015 (view information here www.surfingaustralia.com/nsw/news-details.php?id=5251)
We still have divisions left in the following divisions across surf and racing:
U21 Surfing - 5 positions
O50 Men - 2 Positions
Open Men Surfing - 4 positions
All Technical Race Divisions as unlimited entries
All Marathon Race Divisons as unlimited entries
NOTE: Now we have opened up to be able to surf across two divisions e.g. Open Men & O50

Surfing
Surfing NSW have organised a range of surfing locations from as far north as Culburra and as far south as Mollymook. The whole region will be used to ensure the best waves across Friday & Saturday are found. Please call the event hotline on 0458247 212 each morning from 645am to confirm the schedule and location. Sussex Inlet Beach will be the prime location. Presentation will be at Sussex Inlet surf club Saturday afternoon from 5pm.

Late last week have added in new course maps to include open ocean races. There are many options for the race to ensure we get the right distance and downwind winds for all racers. All race regulations and details as well as prize money breakdown and allocations to the Australian Titles are listed on the document also.
Saturday Meeting location for the Technical Race
Call the event hotline on Saturday 645am for the daily location of the beach:0458 247 212
Meet at 12pm at the surfing beach as stated on the hotline.
Sunday Meeting location for the Marathon Race
Meet at Sussex Inlet Surf Club sussexinletslsc.com.au at 830am for the race briefing and to confirm the race course.
Surfing NSW will run over the event course and this is where all participants will receive your number and driving directions to the start. Race will start at 1030am. Presentation will be at the grass reserve on the finish location of the course.
All must have their own PFD to race.
Entry Information from website
All competitors in the Surfing division will gain two surfs and no one will be eliminated first round. (subject to change if demand increases). All entries will not be allocated from Regional Titles. Entry is based on first in and entered gains the positions.All competitors surf or race need to be a member of Surfing NSW for 2015. Racing Divisions are open national and international competitors.Surfing Divisons are only NSW competitors for 2015 (excluding invitational division).Only NSW race competitors will progress to Team NSW for the National titles.

Age clarification
Open Division (no age limit)Over Age Division - (Competitors must be of age as of the 1st January 2015) - eg. Over 35 Division competitor must be aged 35 years old or over as at 1st January 2015.Under age divisions, (you must be under the specified age as at 31/12/15 - ie. To enter Under 18, you must be 17 years or under on 31st December 2015)

Woo hoo!!! Finally, some great waves for a SUP comp - hopefully.
Thanks to Surfing NSW for listening and adding a number of courses for the long distance. With the number of options they have they'll definitely be able to run a good distance race and the conditions at the moment look like it could be ballistic.
Day 1 has kicked off at Narrawallee Beach. Fun 2 foot peaks for all divisions. Tomorrow's technical race and SUP surfing looking like being back here at Narrawallee also but from 645am please call the event hotline on 0458 247 212.
