I can recall about 7/8 years ago paddling out on my SUP at Greenmount with my mate Clarky, and watching a guy paddling on his knees on a SUP and he couldn't stand up and balance on his board at all.

We had abit of a laugh at this guys bad balance then watched him prone paddle onto the set wave and he was rippin once he stood up. Had a closer look as he went past me and it was Occy!!

I think he was riding a Luke Egan SUP in the mid eight foot length from memory.

Love to see TC up against the Raging Bull on a SUP.

Looks like he's getting back up to his pre circa 1999 100kg weight judging by that photo.
Needs a few good paddles.

Yep sure good to see him getting himself together.
A local boy - watched him grow up and enjoyed watching him surf and achieve all the success that he deserved.
He wrestled with lots of "dragons" - not all of them his own creations
Hope is is enjoying his life

I think he is doing well, often seen cruising the sidewalk on a skateboard with his son who rips the bags out of it,lives across the road from the beach over looking the points. His book which has been out for years is a great read and really gives you the inside story of some of the things bjwedes alerts too.

Can't wait to see him out there! Surefire boards rip! Slatz shaped me a custom a while back, can only imagine how good they'll go under Occy's feet!

Hey guys, Thanks for helping share this awesome news.

Occy is one of my all-time favorite surfers so to be working with him on stand up’s is very exciting & we look forward to working on some new designs with him in the near future.

For those that know me, know I am very passionate about pushing SUP design in both high performance surfing and 14ft boards & we are constantly designing, shaping and tweaking our designs to get the best board under the feet of each individual.
SUP surfing is a complicated beast; each and every person is so different in every respect. In regards to their weight, height, centre of gravity, their balance, age, style of surfing, style of board they ride - or want, their aggression in turns, their ability, & what volume they are comfortable with. Each of these needs careful analysis and custom boards allow us room to tweak our existing shapes and outlines, or design something totally new.

The old website hasn't been updated in some time as we are in the process of developing a whole new website that will showcase all our new models, colour schemes, construction types and also have a bunch of videos and photos of our custom boards & the shaping and design process, plus have access to our production models, our sought after ledge handles and other sup accessories.

I'll let you know once the new website is up and running and also post some photos & vids soon

Cheers,
Mick Slattery

He was spotted carefully watching the Aussie titles last year - maybe he will make a comeback to competition!!! That'd be very cool.

Occy... one of my all time favorites. Goes so hard, he redefined what people thought about backside surfing.

Stoked he's on SUP with a great shaper behind him.... can't wait to see some Occy SUP madness

I was stumped as well.
Jimmy Banks is a Cronulla boy so I'll lock that in.
I did see him at Ulu's in 88 and was carving it up.
