Tiny surf conditions on Saturday for the third Tairawhiti sup contest at Makorori Beach.
There were only 3 entrants in the Over 60 division and only Towball knew anything about contest protocol so Jimbo and I were mostly just blundering around
But a fun day with sunshine and happy people. Even a few contestants from far away places like Taranaki and Aussie

What a magic day Gizzie. Shame the surf was so small and a bit of wind but the weather was great .A fantastic event put on by fantastic people. All credit to Pete and the crew from Tairawhiti. The kaupapa for day was awesome.friendly people sharing the Stoke. First comp ..man got a lot to learn about competition surfing but really enjoyed it.Hopefully next year can bring my A game..didn't really surf well all day ..bit nervous ..and anxious.. Can't believe how quickly 15min goes by..lol..congratulations to all competitors and people involved in getting this event up and running.

Well done fellas. Where's the best place to keep up to date with this kind of event because I'm keen to join the party?
