Last week the McDonald family and BrisSUP tragically lost Nick McDonald. Nick was a founding member of BrisSUP and also the Marketing Committee member. Nick was instrumental in the success of the BrisSUP club and his input into the SUP community was remarkable. Nick was one of the pioneers of downwinding on Moreton Bay and ilead the way in some of the Moreton Bay downwind videos you may have seen earlier this year on Seabreeze.
On Sunday the 1st of May, BrisSUP Club held a paddle out to celebrate and honour the life of Nick McDonald and we were joined by members of SUPSA, Sunshine Coast SUP Club, Currumbin SUP Club and SUS Inc clubs as well as Nick's family and friends.
This video was put together by Warrick Wintle and does a great job of showing the emotion of the day as well as the impact that Nick had on SUP within SE QLD.
