Yep.
Gone.
Only green goodness.
The SUP forum is now reaching an age of maturity where it's becoming very commercial, and it would be great to have to keep it "for the paddler".
I went through a similar process with both the Windsurfing & Kitesurfing forums, and as a consequence new topics by businesses (such as new releases, demo days etc) are banned in those forums because of the infighting it created.
It seems that now is the time for the SUP forum to be the same?
It's a forum we all enjoy, and it wants to be the best place it can be.

thats good about the red thumbs, its good to speak your mind without the fear of being chastised, there is a fine line between the spruiking of business ie sup demo days, new product etc but it is interesting reading about new stuff and attending demo days, but I see your point about unabashed adverts, um what's the answer, well a warning or two followed by a public stoning down at the town square maybe?
One suggestion ( and I'm not in the industry so not pushing my own agenda here).
A few of the mtn bike & snow forums have the option of being able to add a link to website that appears under your avatar/signature. One way for those to promote themselves without starting whole new threads that are unabashed adverts.
If a link is there it's up to the person to click on it or not.
Personally I use these forums as an information resource, and that includes opportunities to learn about new product.
Unreal ..absolutely hated the red thumbs , Hey Laurie how about posting the top 10 RED THUMBERS , really interested to see who they were.
whats the difference between green and red??? either way its still cheerleading and causes "clicks" or groups....alot of other forums dont even have post counts...
If you get rid of red,why the hell have green its pointless, hang on how about brown for the brown noses
Get rid of all the cheap thumbs in every section.I've only ever red thumbed one forum user and that's Billboard on all his posts
