Surfing on the weekend with my Fanatic 100 Carbon paddle. Broke the blade near where it meets the shaft. Where or how can I get it repaired/replaced?

Can you fit a new blade onto the existing good shaft?

Is this an option or a matter of buying a new paddle and keeping the shaft as a wall decoration??

I'm no expert but shouldn't be a prob I have experimented with different blades on my starboard paddle shaft .

I've broken a Quickblade the same way. I fixed it buy using to tongue depressors (big paddle pop sticks) stuck on the inside of both halves and glued it back together and let it set , then carbon glassed it over the join. That was a few years ago and it's still going strong.

I had the same problem in the same spot with a Kialoa Methane paddle.

Did the same repair with a small piece of western red cedar glued into the foam of the blade with Techni Glue which is a 2 pac waterproof epoxy glue.

As Piros said ...then bandage it with a few pieces of carbon and it will be stronger then it was originally.

Good luck.

Same as Wazza Techni Epoxy glue... thats how how I fixed everything (ask my kids) once it's set sand back then glass over.

Here's one of my old shaft repair videos.
